 The story of Cocomon Spread

Sugath’s dad gave him a knife when he was small. He said, ‘I am now handing over my way of life to you. Enjoy it and never lose it!’ Sugath started his career as a Cinnamon farmer when he was just 16 years old. ‘I take care of these trees as my own children,'' says Sugath while pointing at a Cinnamon tree like a proud father. Sugath made the Cocomon spread while trying to create a spread to use at home instead of butter on bread. ‘This spread needs to be in every household in the world’ says Sugath.

‘Cinnamon reduces blood sugar and cholesterol levels in the body and is great for overall health. I am thankful that I get to eat something so tasty, organic and great for my health which I grow on my own
farm. I now want everybody else to enjoy it and the benefits of it.’ 

 

The story of Ceylon Cinnamon

Cinnamon is considered to be a ‘medicine from god’ in Sri Lanka.

The history of Cinnamon in Sri Lanka dates back to 2800 B.C. According to ‘Wall Street Journal’,

Ceylon cinnamon is considered to be the best in the world due to being safer to consume than other variants found in the rest of the earth.
